Hello everyone,
I have a very simple question:
What value is displayed in field 4 of MWB9 for a TDI engine with an EDC16 control unit? In my observation, this value is always approximately the same as the smoke limit value displayed in MWB8.
Sure, here's the translation:
"Greetings and thank you."

Hi,
Which specific EDC16 engine control unit? Ideally, provide the VAG part number (using a car scanner).
Best regards, Rainer.

03G906016KN
Engine control unit (ECU) from an Audi A4 with engine code BPW.
I don't have Autoscan available right now, and it would probably only cause confusion anyway.
Is it possible that MWB9 field 4 refers to a Lambda/DPF issue?

The MWB 9 typically includes torque limitations for automatic transmissions and anti-slip control systems.

No, that would NOT cause confusion, but would provide CLARITY whether it's about a torque limit, as it is with most engines I know, or something else!
Otherwise, I wouldn't be asking, would I?

Yes, it's about a time limit. Autoscan will be running tonight.
The A4 engine control unit (ECU) is installed in a Caddy that previously had a BLS engine.
Therefore, I'm experiencing confusion. However, I'm only concerned about the control unit's limit. Both are vehicles with manual transmissions.
Best regards,

Okay, as I said, it's a limiting factor.
I can't see any specific added value from this measurement block for manual switches.

As far as I've seen on my Golf with the AJM EDC15 engine control unit, a specific block within the MWB (Engine Control Module) displays the fuel injection quantity, which is limited when the traction control system (ESP light flashing) intervenes.

Here's the car scan.
And that's the reason why I started this thread.
Hangs within the MWB9 limit .

And what horsepower should the engine have? It looks like it's probably the standard 140 hp.
Please provide logs for the RPM range of 1500-4000.

"If it had 140 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque, that would be good. But it doesn't. It delivers approximately 280 Nm to the crankshaft. That's the exact amount of fuel that comes out when you apply the 'Nm to IQ' map to field 4 of the MWB9 parameter. I checked with VCDS to see where the problem lies, and that's how I discovered the MWB9 parameter."
Das ist seitens VCDS ne hilfreiche Information, dass es ein Begrenzungsmoment ist^^ Soviel weiß ich auch. But which one?
I don't want to burden the platform with my "experiments" - I just want to know what the value MWB9 - 4 means.
According to the Autoscan, the vehicle is not currently present at this location.
Best regards,
Thank you.

Are the coolant temperature and exhaust gas temperatures within a reasonable range?

Coolant, yes, and exhaust temperatures as well - however, the current configuration has one fewer sensor. We'll need to investigate that.
