Ibiza 6L Throttle Body: Faulty Signal

First of all, I just got a license from Kaufmann 5 minutes ago!

I have a Seat Ibiza with a 1.9 TDI engine, and the engine code is BMT.

"Since yesterday, I've been getting an intermittent error message about the throttle body."

Intake manifold valve short circuit to ground.

The valve has been replaced, but the problem still persists.



The cables appear to be in good condition.



Can I adapt the valve? I can't find it in VCDS.



"The valve cannot be accessed via VCDS. The process starts, but the valve doesn't respond."



In the measurement data blocks, the target value for valve 94 is set, while the actual value is approximately 3%.

I'm not able to access it through the back door. I just purchased a license for €79 from Kaufmann, and I received a notification that I already have a user account dating back to 2013!
Since my order was cancelled because it was apparently not desired, I'm also at a loss as to what to do next.

This suggests a potential issue with the cable or connector connected to the throttle body. The throttle body is located on the engine's intake manifold, and it's where the large turbocharger boost hose from the intercooler is attached.

While the throttle valve can also fail mechanically (due to plastic gears inside that wear out and eventually slip), that would be a different issue.

You should check the cable to the throttle valve for signs of damage caused by rodents or chafing.

Since the throttle valve is new, a mechanical defect can be ruled out.

Does anyone happen to have a wiring diagram and can tell me where the four cables go?
I'm guessing it's the engine control unit (ECU).
A pinout diagram would be helpful.

Okay! You can get the circuit diagram from Erwin, but I would first carefully examine the connectors and cables visually, centimeter by centimeter, before starting any major measurement activities.
Also, also check if the fuses are okay.

No, but which number corresponds to what should be found in the operating manual located in the onboard folder.
If everything is controlled by the engine control unit (ECU), then the most likely cause would be corrosion or a loose connection at the fuse. In that case, the vehicle would run very poorly and might even stall. Therefore, check the cables and connectors.

Also, don't forget about the fuses on the battery; one of the three small ones was for the engine control unit, if I remember correctly.
