Hi there,
I'm new here and looking for some good advice regarding a problem I'm having.
Volkswagen Passat 3C, 2006, 2.0 TDI, 170 horsepower, common rail injection, manufactured in 2006.
First, the check engine light came on. The error was cleared, but it reappeared after starting the car 2-3 times. Finally, the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) issue also appeared. Initially, everything was read out using a diagnostic tool:
Bluetooth Dongle.
Error P2425 (Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooling Valve Control Circuit/Open).
After that, use VCDS to check for any error codes and see if the fault is reported there.
Coolant Radiator Diverter Valve (N345) - Fault Code P1495-009: Short to ground / Open circuit - Warning light illuminated.
I've now read in several forums that it could be the magnetic valve (which one are we talking about?). Am I correct in assuming this?
The DPF is likely full, according to VCDS. A picture is attached.
Thank you for any advice.
