Hello everyone.
I've only had my VCDS for a short time, but I've used it before in other companies. Until now, I have been able to reset the oil change/inspection reminder without any problems on every VAG vehicle.
Recently, I encountered a problem with two vehicles where the message on the display, such as "Inspection in 300 days" or "Oil change in 24 days," would not disappear despite multiple attempts to reset it. I then reset the service interval via the dashboard and changed it back to "Flexible."
That worked.
Vehicles:
Skoda Fabia Estate/Wagon 1.0 TSI, manufactured in 2017.
Skoda Kodiaq 2.0 TSI 4x4, year 2019.
Unfortunately, I don't have any logs because I realized this too late.
Since these are customer vehicles, I can't connect any of them to the VCDS system quickly.
Has anyone else experienced similar problems, or does anyone know where the error might be?
I have DRV 21.3 with HEX-V2.
Best regards from Switzerland.
Mischa.

Hello,
It's quite likely that in this case, the necessary adjustments to other channels were not reset or modified.
Have you already covered this topic?
Okay, I'm ready. Please provide the German text you want me to translate.
Best regards, Rainer.

Hello,
Resetting the flexible oil service:
Select the channel [WIV: Reset WIV] and change the value under [New Value] from "Warning active" to "Reset". Finally, click on [Accept].
Check the channels [WIV: Distance since inspection] = 0 (km); [WIV: Time since inspection] = 0 (days) to verify that the reset function has worked.
Resetting time-based inspection:
Select the channel: "FIX: Time since last time-based inspection".
The elapsed time since the last inspection is displayed in days.
Change the entry for "xxxd" to "0" under [new value]. Finally, click on [Accept].
Resetting the mileage-based inspection:
Choose the channel: [FIX: Distance traveled since last performance check]. Inspection.
The distance traveled since the last inspection is displayed in kilometers.
Change the entry for "xxxkm" to "0" by replacing the existing value with "[new value]". Finally, click on [Accept].
Best regards, Dago.

Thank you for your responses.
I may have expressed myself incorrectly.
I'm quite sure that I reset everything correctly. The inspection/service reminders were also reset in the menu of the dashboard/navigation system. The message indicating that service was due would only appear when starting the vehicle, even though all the values in the navigation system's menu were reset.
Similarly, a vehicle displayed a message indicating that the inspection was due in 365 days. While technically correct, a message should ideally appear on the display 30 days prior. I have reset this value multiple times using VCDS, but it never made a difference.
So, the reset always worked. Only this warning message remains visible when the ignition is turned on.
I hope you can follow me.
Best regards, Mischa.

Did you turn off the ignition and wait for a while after resetting it?

I suspect that you have still set a value incorrectly. Possibly the oil quality or the minimum/maximum values.
Regarding the vehicle with the "365 days" display: I believe that will disappear after a short time and will only reappear after a reset.
It's difficult to test without a vehicle.
Best regards, Dago.
