hi
After putting up with issues with my Seat Ibiza AFN for quite some time, the car really let me down yesterday.
After work, I wanted to start it, but I couldn't.
After searching for a while, I finally found a broken development motor mass cable outside. It was simply broken.
It's not that bad, really.
Now, I still have a problem.
The warning light for the handbrake and/or brake fluid level is constantly illuminated.
I've also already tested both switches, and they're okay.
I have error code 00626 in the error memory, but I don't know what it means!
'The sender I received is for the coolant level, but I haven't installed it.'
Before I go to the Seat dealership and they try to charge me for something, I'd rather figure out the problem myself. However, it's very difficult to do that without a wiring diagram.
I would have liked to hear your opinions on what might have been smoked.
Everything was still working perfectly fine before the mass cable was connected this morning.
Sure, here's the translation:
'Thanks in advance.'

Hey, does anyone have even the smallest tip they can offer?
Could it be related to the wiring harness or the instrument cluster?
Could you possibly provide me with a circuit diagram?

the sender | that the sender is writing about is for the coolant level, and I haven't installed it! VAGCOM-Fachartikel wrote: |

Regarding Seat wiring diagrams, I can't help you with that... It's possible that your instrument panel is receiving incorrect voltage due to the faulty ground cable, has been partially damaged, and that's why the brake light is on (pure speculation). Gruß Ulf

Your wiring harness might be faulty.
The faulty ground cable likely caused the starter to draw ground through your switches/controls.
Cases like these are not uncommon.

Sorry for the overly complicated question:
Is the brake fluid level correct? You mentioned that you don't have such a sensor, but I couldn't tell if you actually checked it...
I actually had a similar problem before, where the light wouldn't turn off. In my case, the fluid level was also incorrect, and I was very surprised that my 1994 Passat could display something like that.

Yes, I already checked it and it's all good.
I had the car at the Seat dealership last Friday, and they actually quoted me 2,5 [presumably a price or amount].
Working hours inflated!
This afternoon, the friendly lady called me to say the car was ready, but unfortunately, they couldn't find the problem.
What now???
Did they really want me to pay for everything? *g*
I have given all of this to my lawyer.
They won't see a single penny from me as long as the lights are on!
That's definitely the last car from the Volkswagen group!
Next time, let's do something worthwhile.
Okay, I went ahead and tried to troubleshoot the problem myself.
I had a spare central electrical box lying around, so I just plugged it in.
Besides, it's typical VW stuff, with all the usual installation hassles.
Unfortunately, it didn't help.
Do you have any other ideas about what might be causing this?
