Hello everyone,

'Recently, my Golf IV has been experiencing an intermittent issue.'
To hear a howling sound when engaging the clutch. It usually occurs when the engine is cold.
It's making a noise and it sounds like metal is grinding against metal.
You often hear it when you're going uphill.
approaches. The clutch seems to be functioning properly.
At least it doesn't slip, and the car only has 57,000 kilometers on it. Where could the error be?

Best regards,
Marco

Since the car only has 57,000 kilometers (approximately 35,000 miles), it's probably not very old. Why don't you go to a VW dealership and ask about goodwill options? Perhaps the clutch fluid level is too low?
Best regards, Thorsten.

Hello,

If there is oil present in the clutch housing,
The clutch is damaged because it is a dry clutch.

If you're referring to the hydraulic fluid used for the clutch actuation, then a...
The low level was indicated by the brake fluid level sensor, as it is the same reservoir.
Tschüss
