I wish you all a happy new year!

Unfortunately, it's gotten quite cold in my A2 3L 1.2 TDI because the AGR (Abgasrückführung) system isn't working correctly. So, I bought a new AGR relay. Unfortunately, that didn't change anything. Finally, I wanted to check for a loose connection, and when you plug in the connector, the AGR valve engages audibly for about 1 second. It turns off immediately.
If you wiggle the plug, nothing happens.
There are no errors in the error memory.
So, it essentially only leaves the control and activation within the control unit?
It is the EDC15P+. I think the AGR/EGR valve should be pin 21.
There would probably need to be a PWM module connected to it.
I could also get a used engine control unit (ECU) from another 3L engine and either disable the wastegate function (WFS) on it, or have it customized for my A2, which would cost around 200€.

However, I experienced a similar issue myself with my Audi 80 (details in my signature below), specifically with the relay that controls the low-power heating function (the glow plugs in the cooling circuit). It was constantly powered with the ignition on, but there was no response during the actuator diagnosis, and no error code was present in the ECU." When the output was temporarily short-circuited, the error was detected.
Can you perhaps generate such an entry?
Is the AGR (Abgasrückführung system) now permanently open or closed?

Hello,

The N75 is actually used for controlling the boost pressure of the turbocharger.
Or do you have a combination valve with two solenoid valves?

Hi,
N75 was likely used as a placeholder. The exhaust gas recirculation valve was of the same design for a long time. "In my deceased Audi 80, it was the N18."

Hi Rainer,

You're absolutely right!
I probably wrote that because I thought it essentially performs the same function as the charge pressure control valve in VTG turbochargers.
But I know that, even though it has the same part number as the other one, except for the letter at the end, it's probably not 100% identical.

I just wanted to give some quick feedback.

I had the engine control unit installed by a mechanic and the WFS (likely referring to a specific system or feature) was deactivated.
During the first run, it was noted that the engine warmed up much faster. The AGR valve is now being activated.
So, it was the MSG.
Interestingly, this seems to be a common problem with the A2 3L.
When I bought my A2 12 years ago, I noticed that the engine would frequently and abruptly change its sound at idle. The AGR was suddenly activated, or perhaps it wasn't.
These intervals became increasingly rare until they completely disappeared.
The same applies to my girlfriend's A2 3L, which has significantly fewer miles on it.
If I can figure out which PIN the AGR control unit is connected to, I will try to repair it.
I'm not exactly a big fan of recirculated exhaust gases, but the 3L engine will hardly warm up in winter without the EGR system.
