Tiguan AD1 LED Light

Hi,

I have a Tiguan AD1, manufactured in March 2018.
According to TÜV, there is a fault in the control unit (STG) for the LED headlights.

Shouldn't these control units be visible in the car scan?

Address 29: Left headlight control (power module for left headlight).

Address 39: Right headlight control (power module for the right headlight).

Address D6: Left-side lighting control 2 (Power module 1 for left-side LED headlights).

Address D7: Right-side lighting control 2 (Power module 1 for right-side LED headlights).

Does the error reappear after deleting?

I didn't delete any errors that were related to light.

What I found and deleted were entries related to the rear door lock and the key battery.

I don't understand why the admin deleted my original post.


I would like to understand which address controls the LED headlights. The addresses I mentioned do not appear in the Autoscan. Does my vehicle have these features, or are they simply not being detected?

In the posted excerpt of the first automatic scan in the bathroom, errors were already visible in the overview.

The person who asked the question cut off the rest of the response, for whatever reason.

In the second scan, the overview was already error-free. This is only possible by clearing the errors, because some issues might reappear. But no scan that is completely full of errors.

Completely nonsensical.

It's pointless to speculate about anything after the fact. As you can see, the information available is unreliable, and therefore, it's a waste of time.

And if someone has a problem with "lights" or whatever, then they should just post the TÜV report online, which will contain the relevant information.
What else would it be, the newspaper from yesterday?

Which control unit or address are you referring to?

The phrase "Kombinierter..." is directly transcribed from the TÜV report. I can add the TÜV number DF4.1.4.

Hi,
Your car is a 2018 model year. You are likely using a VCDS HEX-Can or similar device, but not a HEX-V2. Therefore, VCDS may not be able to read all control units (ECUs) in this case. That's why you're seeing the "INTERFACE HARDWARE NOT COMPATIBLE" messages, and that's why you're not seeing everything.

Yes, I own a HEX-USB+CAN device from the Dieselschrauber-Shop.

Is the lighting control integrated into the 4B multifunction control unit?

Or am I simply not seeing the other engine options that the Tiguan could have (29, 39, D6, D7), even though they are listed?

Are they unreadable or not visible? That's why I also had to switch to the 2018 Golf.
The parts list in the diagnostic interface might provide you with an overview.
You can find HEX-V2 here in our shop, with support available.
