Hello,

My T6 exhibits noticeable play in the drivetrain when there's a change in load.

After initially suspecting that the problem with the drivetrain was related to the splined shafts connecting the transmission to the drive shafts or the drive shafts themselves, I can largely rule that out.
At least the left drive shaft/splined shaft is completely okay, or the splined shaft was replaced with a new one on the T6 due to a leaking oil seal on the drive shaft flange.

Siehe Bilder. Das vordere Motorlager befindet sich in zunehmender Auflösung, oben im Bild passt ein ganzer Finger hinein.

Although my T6 isn't heavily loaded and I tend to accelerate gently, the frequent load changes during winding road driving probably aren't doing much to extend the lifespan of the engine mounts.

Can anyone recommend reasonable alternatives from the aftermarket parts market?

Are there any experiences regarding the rear engine mount? It's rather difficult to see how it looks without a lift.

Best regards, Rainer.icon_surprised.gif

Find two different motor mounts, unfortunately without any further description of the differences.

However, the pictures suggest that the difference lies in the stiffness and damping characteristics. It's difficult to tell from the images alone which one feels better to ride or exhibits less pitching.

I'm trying to find out if there are any differences in the engine's performance.

Brand: Article No.: 100 199 0144
Manufacturer: MEYLE

VAG Part Number: 7H0 199 848 G
Brand: Article No.: 35025 01.
Manufacturer: LEHMFÖRDER.

Apparently, there are 7H0 199 848 D and G icon_lol.gif. Which one lasts the longest and has the least amount of play?

According to 7Zap,...
7H0 199 848D for 6-speed manual transmission (SG) and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DSG).
7H0 199 848G for 5-speed gearbox (SG).

I believe the T6 transporter has a rubber bushing at the front, while the "better" models have a hydraulic bearing of a different design. Can anyone confirm this?

Ok, das Richtige für den T6 110kW TDI ist "VW 7H0 199 848 D". icon_idea.gif

Best regards, Rainer.

Feedback on the engine mount: The play in the drivetrain is reduced but still present.

Since the left drive shaft detached from the spline shaft in the transmission due to a leak, and the latter was replaced with a new one, I suspect the problem lies with the right spline shaft/drive shaft. icon_idea.gif

...also, in addition, the rear engine mount on the T6 had excessive play. It was replaced, and the damage was only visible when it was removed.

The difference in performance during load changes is now noticeably smaller.
