Retrofitting multifunction steering wheel, Sharan 7N

The leather on the steering wheel is starting to wear down, so I was thinking of getting a better one sometime.
Here's the translation:

"This is a Sharan manufactured in late 2010 (LQU), with a 6-speed manual transmission and a CFFB engine. It includes GRA (automatic emergency braking), a tow hitch, and 7 seats from the factory. Otherwise, it's fairly standard. The steering wheel does not have any buttons."

I wanted to inquire beforehand what would be needed for it to work.

I suspect there are buttons near the steering wheel...
a) Replace the turn signal lever with the side buttons (up/down) with one that doesn't have them.
b) Can the slip ring remain?
c) Different wiring harness in the steering wheel.
d) Encoding

Or something else?
Could I also replace the bezels without buttons if necessary?

If your vehicle does not have "Highline" control units, you will need to replace the slip ring and steering column control unit in order for these functions to be supported.

When it comes to the buttons, you need to pay attention to which version you have, as they don't work with every steering column control unit.

Depending on the steering wheel, it may be necessary to replace the airbag.
