Off-Road Vehicles: Explanation and Features

Hello fellow experts!

Can someone explain to me precisely what the term "vehicles with off-road equipment" means within the VAG group?
What suspension modifications are included? Which vehicles are equipped with this as standard?

I can only speak from experience with my colleague's Passat:

It sits a bit higher and has a pseudo-underbody protection (sorry, I don't trust that plastic part).

It drives like an oil tanker on the rails.
...stays in the forest, but doesn't get stuck right away...


I still advise against it...

However, the protection for the traction motor is a metal plate, not a plastic casing.
