Odometer replacement

Does anyone know if the speedometer/tachometer from a 2000 Golf TDI (ALH) can be swapped with one from a 2002 model, such as a Sport Edition?
What happens if a device with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is installed when previously there was no MFA enabled? Will the 'standard displays' still function?
And finally, does the steering wheel need to be removed when changing [something]?

Hello, I can tell you the following about this: After replacing your instrument cluster, you need to reprogram your keys and adapt the instrument cluster to the engine control unit. Additionally, you also need to inform the system whether your car has ABS or not.
It's probably best to leave that alone, or do you know if that item from eBay is still in good condition?

The old one has an analog speedometer, while the new one has a digital speedometer.
Can I install this, or can I also install a combination instrument with Multifunction Display (MFA)?
