Hello everyone.
During the last visit to the workshop, they found that my A4 2.5 TDI had an excessively high internal engine pressure.
Can someone explain to me how to measure it and what range it should be in?
where the faulty filter is located, either inside or on the engine.
and how to fix it...
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Sepp.

Hi Harlyjoe,
What do you mean by 'internal engine pressure'? Are you referring to the overpressure in the crankcase, or the compression values of the individual cylinders? Also, it would be great to know which engine code (MKB) your car has. The options could be AFB, AKN, or, if it's a newer A4, possibly AKE.

Hello Bertil, Marco.
I have an AFB engine, originally with 150 horsepower, but currently producing 193 horsepower with a chip tuning upgrade.
I meant the internal engine pressure...
Bertil.
Thank you for the tip about the part... So, I need to install the oil mist separator from the 132kW model - the part number is: 059 103 464 B? ... And do I need to remove the filter that's currently installed?
Are there any installation instructions available? According to the workshop, there is a conversion kit.
Sincerely,
Sepp.

Hello Harlyjoe,
Do you have the same symptoms as in the other thread? -> Like smoke, oil leaks, etc. Just because someone says the 'internal engine pressure' (presumably referring to the crankcase pressure) is too high, I wouldn't just start replacing parts.

Hi,
Always go slow.
The other thread was intended as a suggestion. If you are actually experiencing the exact same problem, then it is quite possible that it is the same error.
I completely agree with Marco on that. Gruß Bertil

Hello everyone.
It's not exactly the same as my colleague's situation... I don't have excessive oil leakage.
'At the workshop, they said I have too much internal pressure in the engine, and that it's due to a filter inside the engine... Apparently, there's a conversion kit available.'
The engine is slightly sweaty, at least if you ask me; my Renaults were much worse.
Does anyone know about a rebuild kit or repair set available for my engine?
Sincerely,
Sepp.

You have a filter mat in the crankshaft case ventilation system. When this filter becomes clogged, the pressure inside the crankshaft case becomes too high! This problem is known in AUDI vehicles, and that's why it is required to check the crankshaft case pressure every 60,000 km.
To do this, simply replace the oil dipstick with a pressure gauge while the engine is running at idle. The pressure measured should not exceed 5 mbar.
You can either just replace this filter element in the oil filter module and hope it doesn't happen again, or you can install the improved module from the 132kW model!
This unit has a cyclone separator, so it can't get clogged!
Both options are labor-intensive because a significant amount of disassembly is required beforehand.
Regards,
Manuel.

Hello Thomas,
Are there any drawings of this module available online?
Oder Rep. Instructions?
What would the cost of the 132kW module be?
Sincerely,
Sepp.
