Hello,
I have always had the oil changes done at the workshop. However, since I was able to get oil at a good price, I wanted to do the oil change myself. When I loosened the screw, I noticed that it was not properly tightened, and some oil was already leaking out.
A colleague has a defective 96kW engine (engine code?) in his garage. Therefore, I could potentially attach the oil pan from that engine to mine. Does anyone know if the oil pans of the different TDI engines are the same?

You can definitely use the oil pan from an ASZ engine (96 kW) on your AJM engine.

The tub is sealed to the engine using sealant. What about the sensor next to the oil drain plug? Is that also sealed with silicone? What other parts (seals) do I need to replace?

"This is the oil quality sensor. I can't say exactly how it's attached or sealed, but there are people here who have already modified it. Try using the search function; I remember seeing a post about it."

I was searching online and found a discussion about a retrofit installation where an oil sensor was to be added. In that discussion, silicone was also mentioned as a sealing agent. Since the pan is sealed in that way, I assume the sensor is also sealed in a similar manner. If anyone has more specific information, I would appreciate hearing from you.
