Speed display in the radio screen on a VW Golf 5?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone of you might know how to display the speed on the speedometer in a Golf 5 . A colleague was told at the car city that it's possible, and they even showed him how to do it. However, he forgot.

Does anyone know?

I thought the climate control would be included as a gift, but then again, it wouldn't be VW if they didn't find a way to cut costs somewhere. Well, at least not having a speedometer has its advantages; you get one more storage compartment. Does it also have the Beetle's spare tire in the footwell? And I bet there's no fuel gauge either.

This feature can be activated via self-diagnosis in every RCD300 unit equipped with the driving school function.

Select STG 56 (radio system).
ECU adaptation -> Function 10.

-> Channel 02 (driving school function) only available with RCD 300.
Über diese Option kann die Fahrschulfunktion aktiviert bzw. deaktiviert werden, dabei wird im Radiodisplay die aktuelle Geschwindigkeit angezeigt (0 - deaktiviert; 1 - aktiviert).
