Clunking Noise Under Car When Accelerating

Hi everyone,

'Recently, I've been hearing a banging sound from underneath the car when I accelerate. It always happens when I brake and then accelerate again. I've already checked the exhaust, and everything seems to be secure.'
'In my opinion, the front suspension is also unlikely to be the problem, otherwise I would feel it in the steering.'

I have an A5 Avant, model year 1998, with engine code AFB.
Has anyone had experience with this? If I go to the workshop, they will probably disassemble the entire vehicle ).

Hi,

I recently also heard some indefinable noises "from below."

The internal components of the device had come loose.

It was, however, loudest at idle, while less noticeable during driving.

Just a thought!
