@everyone,
During the last service, I had new brake pads installed on the front (Passat 3B Variant V6 Syncro).
'Since then, there has been a strong vibration when braking. This wasn't the case with the old brake pads.'
Are the pads rubbing now, or are the rotors warped?
What is the cause of this, and why wasn't it like this before the flooring was replaced?
Greetings.
Peter.

Hello,
It was because the mechanic at the time had gotten grease all over the brake disc with his greasy, black fingers. He probably disassembled a driveshaft or something beforehand. To save money, they skipped wiping it verschandeln with brake cleaner.
I caught up on it the next day, and then everything was fine again.
Best regards, Rainer.

Either as Rainer said, or it's possible that the pads need to be bedded in first, but that should happen relatively quickly.

Hello,
There might be dirt, such as rust or paint, between your brake discs and the wheel hub. When the brake pads were replaced, the disc was likely rotated on the hub, which could already cause a slight wobble in the disc.
A friend had this problem. It wasn't until the disc and hub were thoroughly cleaned on the mounting surface that the issue disappeared.
Good luck!
Benno.

If the brake disc already shows significant signs of wear and is not worn evenly, with it being thicker on the inside and outer edge, this can also cause the rubbing sound. This is because the pads are not making proper contact. The old pads were perfectly matched to the disc. VW Golf V, 1,9 TDI, 77KW, BLS, 2007;
