Hi,

My T3 JX colleague has been telling me for a few days about "pre-injection nozzles" for his bus. What he then describes sounds very much like a pilot injection system for common rail systems combined with pre-injection for cooling in a turbocharged gasoline engine (so it's kind of a wild mix). icon_evil.gif

Since even my two-stage nozzles for the 1Z can't achieve a true pilot injection, I don't believe that a nozzle with a threaded tip (especially without external control) can do so.

And what sounds like a pre-cooling system, I already consider nonsense, especially with diesel engines.

He says that information about the nozzles might be available on the Henzo page on dieselsend.de, but I can't find anything there.

Does anyone know about these "WunderDuesen"?

"Thank you."

These aren't special nozzles; they're simply dual-spring nozzles, like those used for a 1Z engine, but designed for a single-cylinder Wankel engine.
The nozzle sprays a small amount initially, and then, as the pressure continues to increase, it switches over to the main injection from the pump. This process does not require any additional control.
Your 1Z does the exact same thing.

EDIT: These nozzles have already been used in various G2/G3 models. (DN0SD297)

Can you read the explanation for the pre-combustion nozzle (and why it is so suitable for oil) in the section below "Nozzles"?

Sure, you're welcome.

I also read on Henzo's website that the "pre-injection nozzle (0 434 250 138) (DN 0SD 273)" was installed in the JP models.

And I've been driving and modifying Japanese cars for 10 years, and I've never encountered a pre-catalytic converter nozzle before.

Probably, that means they also fit internally for the JP models. However, they definitely weren't included in the 4/85 and 7/87 JP models.

I'll take a look at the link.

Okay, now it's clear.

"The 'cooling off' period" was completely misunderstood by Mr. JX.

It's a good thing I rarely let him work on his bus. icon_twisted.gif

Enjoy your meal!

I just accidentally deleted my text, but whatever.

Pre-swirl nozzles, such as the DN0SD297, generate their pre-swirl without the use of a second vane.

at the tap.
The theory behind using a very small pre-pulse is that it works significantly better.
It ignites and thus ensures that the main part catches fire properly; This is important when using wood chips (pöls) because wood chips burn poorly.
ignites.
Two-clip holders (like those used in the Golf III/AAZ and later installed in TDI engines) can also do that.
just about a second feather.
The single-spring holders are very easy to adjust, while the double-spring holders are not.

According to experiences shared on the Pöl forum, all VW swirl chamber diesel engines run very well with...
DN0SD297.

There is both. Right, I should have mentioned that. icon_redface.gif

The underlying function/effect is the same. The needle is lifted slightly, and a small amount of material is ejected as a "pre-shot" due to the specific grinding.
The two-stroke engine achieves this with a second injection stage.
