I still have the original ones, and they're still sealing well... but it's better to replace the screws.

It might not affect all transmissions, but my is still great for shifting, and it's never scratched... or maybe I'm just a slow shifter .

PS: I've also changed the transmission fluid twice already. The first time, the appearance was very unclear, but the second time, it looked so similar to the new substance that it was easy to mistake one for the other.

Therefore, I consider it almost equally important to check the oil level, because mine is leaking too. Surprisingly, the engine is completely dry (I know, it sounds strange, but it's true). On the other hand, the transmission is honestly "sweating."

I once installed a TAF-X fuel tank protector in my Golf 3's fuel tank.
I can't remember any major changes.

However, my JMA (likely referring to a specific type of transmission) in my Passat is annoying, especially since the Golf shifts much better, but it has three times the mileage!

So, I also observed a slight decrease in performance when I first switched it on. Nothing happened with the second one...
