(because I can't find a more suitable thread)
Does anyone know if the current EU consumption cycle includes regeneration processes?
Or does the cycle start with a verschandeln DPF and end with a partially clogged one, so that the regeneration phases are only noticeable to the unsuspecting customer who, when using a factory-installed DPF, experiences an everyday fuel consumption significantly higher than the standard values, more so than they were used to with their previous cars? The energy consumption figures according to Directive 93/116/EEC, obtained using the NEDC (New European Driving Cycle), date back to 1996...
It's only being driven up to the 5th gear, and I absolutely can't imagine that a DPF regeneration cycle is being implemented. How on earth are they supposed to achieve that consistently and reproducibly...?

To be honest:
I have never had any problems with fuel consumption figures provided by Volkswagen.
Passat LT: VW claims 6.4 liters per 100km, I'm getting 6.8 (with a lot of short trips in the city).
Both the Golf 3 TDI and the Golf 2 D models were also performing perfectly according to expectations.
Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation. Transparency, Teamwork
... there was another T.
I don't know what the f*ck it was.

Yes, I know it! ... The answer is NO!
The EU cycle is far too short for that.
Even when measuring emissions, the regeneration process is not taken into account.

If the "bad, bad" diesel cars are driving in a low-emission zone, they release everything that they have been storing in the DPF until then! In reality, even those diesel cars with DPFs are not as verschandeln as they seem, and therefore should finally be completely banned .
So it seems that soon only gasoline-powered cars will be allowed in these ridiculous zones, where their high fuel consumption in the city will generate much more tax revenue than those "evil" diesel vehicles. Gruß Ulf

@ ulf : What do you think about the retrofit caps?
Have you ever disassembled a brand new item like that before?
The large metal surface of the filter takes some time to become coated and saturated with soot. In doing so, it naturally removes soot from the exhaust gases. Especially when condensation forms on the new, verschandeln metal surface, it acts like a flytrap for soot particles.
However, this seems to coincide with the measurement cycle, which is why effectiveness is then confirmed.
If you were to complete the cycle 3 or 4 times, you would return to the values as if the retrofit caps were not installed.
Therefore, it is also common practice (I know of cases where this has been done) to bring the test vehicle with a truck, push it onto the dynamometer, and only start it for the first time there .

But only if they are not direct injection engines (FSI, TSI, or GDI...). The Russians are extremely problematic in terms of particulate emissions.

Yes, THEN... then only electric cars that are twice as expensive can be allowed in.
Just the VAT on a new purchase would require burning through a lot of fuel.

Why? Now that Angela is pleasing all our "friends" who wave their Nazi sticks around, we need the money even more urgently. She may have hesitated a bit because of the North Rhine-Westphalia election, but things will get much worse afterwards, don't worry.
Actually, I deserve the Federal Cross of Merit for that brilliant idea; after all, you usually get it for such outstanding achievements. Get rid of the garbage from the city center and bring in the coal!
And that thing about "letting go," everyone's already doing that with themselves, right? What a bunch of weaklings. It only gets really bad when the usual influx of money into your account doesn't happen at the beginning of the month.
