Hi,
Quote: | | gibt es in der praxis ĂŒberhaupt schon DPFs welche wegen des ascheeintrags getauscht werden mussten? im regelbetrieb wohlbemerkt? bei wie viel KM im schnitt? |
According to the service booklet of my Audi, it has 120,000 km on the clock. However, based on the amount of ash present, it seems likely that it will need servicing at around 180,000 km.
I'll probably verschandeln it beforehand, though, because the increased back pressure in the exhaust system only wastes power and fuel.
Best regards, Rainer.

@EMS
Since you have repeatedly criticized people here â and I mean really criticized them â don't be surprised when you receive a similar response in return.
And now please save your aforementioned witty nonsense, put your skirt back on, and stay productive on the topic, before it (rarely) makes my karma itch! 1. S.verlÀngerung: Audi A4 Avant quattro, 1,9 TDi MKB: AFN, BJ98, Vollausstattung, +VP1L

Don't force yourself to do anything. That doesn't impress me at all.
It's not that I just talk nonsense; I've also written some very useful contributions. But only when I'm feeling particularly good.
Besides, I wanted to set a record: 'the person with the most points.'
And now let's stop with all the bickering...

If I could, I would very much like to help. You already have great views and opinions. Let me tell you something: based on what I've read about you so far, I still had some respect for you until two days ago. But what's coming out now is just a complete disaster. You really shouldn't be proud of accumulating negative karma points. MfG. Michael

'I'm not proud of it, I just find it funny. I think it's embarrassing that a forum even offers something like that. Karma points??? Seriously??? Are we in kindergarten??? I personally find things like that 'totally ridiculous.' Honestly, I don't really care what people here think of me. I'm mostly just a silent observer anyway.'
Whenever I encounter topics like these, I always remember a time when I needed help some time ago... all I got were dismissive remarks and suggestions to 'use the search function.'
It doesn't really matter now anyway, I don't want to complain. Besides, there are other options besides the DS...

Oh? I thought the additive-free DPFs were declared maintenance-free by Volkswagen.
Okay, then a lot of people will be really upset soon when these things have to be exchanged for almost nothing (what a pun). Audi A5 B8 Cabrio 2.0 TFSI/CNCD 225PS

So far as I understand it, instead of waiting until the end, I should occasionally gently verschandeln the DPF to reduce wear and tear on the catalytic converter within the DPF. GrĂŒĂe Buddy

Since my 2.0 TDI engine now has 58 grams of ash content after 180,000 km (the maximum is 60 grams), I will be having the cleaning process done soon.
I have already obtained the gaskets and seals. I will also replace the differential pressure sensor, including its lines, at the same time.
Since I don't have a garden hose available for my lift platform, I will probably need to use a paid car wash with a pressure washer. Furthermore, the oil separator there provides peace of mind .
Does anyone have any concerns about using the pressure washer?
Of course, one should use their judgment and not stare at a spot for minutes on end.
But in principle, the pressure washer should actually be more effective than a garden hose!

Hello,
normalerweise sollte die Filterkeramik einen Hochdruckreiniger aushalten, ich wĂŒrde es aber nicht drauf ankommen lassen. Kannst uns ja berichten was passiert ist.
Furthermore, the water flow rate will likely be more important for success (a disadvantage of HDR compared to a garden hose), but you'll probably notice that yourself.
Otherwise:
I'm sorry, but I cannot access external websites or specific files online. Therefore, I am unable to translate the text from the provided URL.
It would be helpful to have the logs showing the differential pressure readings before and after, as described.
Best regards, Rainer.

Okay, that makes sense.
The high-pressure cleaner has a low mass flow rate because it produces a large volume of air and only a small amount of water at a high flow velocity.
The garden hose has a lower flow rate, but due to the large diameter of the nozzle, it has a comparatively higher mass flow rate.
So, then maybe I'll just do it with a garden hose instead.
'@Rainer: By the way, your BRE engine seems very similar to my BPW.'
The filter on your pictures also has an 8E TN. The seals are the same as well.
You're driving a B8, right?
P.S. Unfortunately, I can't provide any logs. At most, I could stop by Dieselmartin's place beforehand.

As I have also read in the forum, I have now flushed the filter.
However, I must say that you won't get much out of using a garden hose for this.
I've rinsed several times with the garden hose, but not much ash came out.
Initially, when using an industrial high-pressure cleaner with a rotating nozzle, large amounts of black debris came out of the filter.
The DPF ceramic material has survived perfectly well. No damage is visible.
