You don't need to check the VTG (variable turbine geometry) on an AHU engine because it has a wastegate turbocharger.
The boost pressure shown in the diagram is quite good for the amount of air mass.
If the obvious possibilities like a blocked air filter, obstructed intake path, or a faulty catalytic converter have been ruled out, I would start looking at the mass airflow sensor (MAF) or the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system.
Please record the measurements for MWB 3 in the LL (low-load) condition and under load, as well as the measurements for MWB 10 and 11 under load.
Close the AGR for testing purposes as well.

Thank you for the tips... I'll take a closer look at it during the weekend. The catalytic converter should be fine, as the exhaust emissions passed the "Contrôle technique" (technical inspection) last week, so I think the catalytic converter is in good condition.
Hmmm, okay, here's a silly question, but how is the best way to disable the EGR valve on this engine...? Just by unplugging the connector? Or is there something else, like putting a piece of metal in it?
I will be conducting the measurement tests with him tomorrow.
"Well, I guess your TÜV (German technical inspection agency) doesn't do much more than ours. The measurement will probably only focus on the opacity, and won't test the effectiveness of the catalytic converter... but whatever."

Hi,
For temporary sealing: Metal. Permanent sealing is not permitted due to exhaust emission regulations.
Schraube auch mal den Kat auf der Motorseite ab und schau rein. Ist noch besser wie Schütteln, da klarer Einblick, und betrifft drei Schrauben.
