Hi.

Can/may one detach the power unit when the front wheels are unloaded?

The context is the modification of the torque support on machine MJ09.

Well, I don't know anyone who could forbid you from doing it - it's your car, after all.

A wheel alignment is probably necessary in that case.

I believe it can be done even WITHOUT measurements.

Because on the 1K model, all the parts that support the suspension remain firmly attached to the body.
The aggregate carrier only stiffens it.

...aber eine leicht andere Befestigung (anders verspannt, nicht genau die gleiche Position, ...) des versteifenden Traegers koennte IMO dann trotzdem zu einer Veraenderung der Geometrie fuehren. Or what?

Wishing you all the best in New Jersey. I would try to mark the former position with a permanent marker, and then you should be able to fix it.
