LWR Error: Unrecoverable Memory Corruption (Solved)

While exploring what all the long coding sequences offer, I came across the setting "Multi-link rear axle" in the LWR-StG (likely referring to a control unit) of my Polo. Of course, this is incorrect, because it actually has a semi-trailing arm rear axle, which is even conveniently listed in the dropdown selection.
So, I correctly re-encoded the stability control system, but in doing so, I introduced an error that cannot be erased – even after reverting back to the multi-link rear axle configuration.
