@Rainer:

Remember that the AUH (or ATA, as it was called with mechanical injection) is a three-valve engine - and that's the only thing that makes it a desirable engine.

Does the 75kW/102PS engine have a wastegate turbocharger? The turbocharger appears to be noticeably larger than the wastegate turbocharger on various 1.9 engines. I will send you a file to view via private message .

In my case, AHY and AXG are listed with 216 injectors. | Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation circulating, and especially eBay sellers generally lump AHY and AXG together. However, the parts catalogs from VW and Bosch speak a very different language on this matter.
AHY:
DHK VAG: 074130201 K aka. Bosch 0432193669 = Injector set: 2437010060 = DSLA150P764 = 0.216mm
AXG:
DHK VAG: 074130201 T also known as Bosch 0432193552 = Injector set: 2437010126 = DSLA150P1019 = 0.203mm
All 2.5 R5 TDI engines, without exception, use 11mm HD parts; the only differences exist in the valve lifters.

Are you talking about the diameter of the distributor piston here? That is, for example, ACV-ESP and AHY/AXG-ESP all have the same distributor piston diameter, and only different cam profiles?
Here's what I don't understand: Why does using, for example, 216 injectors instead of 205 injectors result in more fuel reaching the cylinder with the same ESP (Electronic Spark Program), since the fuel delivery volume and camshaft profile/lift don't change?

Because the fuel and the injection lines react "elastically" to the very high pressures that occur.
When you inflate a car tire from 1 bar to 2 bar, it doesn't become twice as large. Liquids, like gases, can be compressed, but to a much lesser extent. Nevertheless, even at the pressures used in typical fuel injections, these effects become noticeable. The VP37 injection pump has peak pressures of around 1200 bar, while current common-rail systems reach over 2000 bar. State-of-the-art systems (Bosch CRS3-25) achieve 2500 bar.

Something like that would then reduce sprint and climbing ability. |
"First and foremost, I want more power. What you mentioned would be the next thing to consider. Currently, the motorhome reaches a maximum speed of about 120 km/h (approximately 75 mph) on the highway at around 3500 RPM. Ideally, through tuning, a different engine, and a different gear ratio (or, for example, the "trick" of using tires that are up to 8% larger), it would be great to achieve the same speed with lower engine RPM, which would result in lower fuel consumption."
