hi everyone,

I would like to increase my idle speed by approximately 50-60 RPM.
You know I have the AFN engine in my Corrado. And it vibrates a bit at idle. It was designed for diesel engines, after all. But if I just slightly press the accelerator and bring the engine up to 1000 RPM, everything is fine.

Can I do this with VA.G-Com, or is it simply not possible?
My colleague says directly: The gas pedal is a potentiometer. You need to add a resistor in series. That will raise the signal a bit. No, I understand.
'It has a 6-pin connector on the gas pot. Where am I supposed to do anything?'

Thank you (again) for your kind help icon_biggrin.gif.

arne.

Hello,

Try using the adaptation channels. All the information is in the error database.
Tschüss

Hello,

See the error database and various forum posts. This can only be resolved through adaptation of the control unit. Keyword: adaptation channels.

Best regards, Rainer.

Michael's article helped me. I did it during my lunch break... and it was successful.
It's actually quite simple. And now, nothing seems to be working anymore.

Thank you again.
Arne.

Select the engine control unit.
Please log in to channels 1, 3, 4, and 5 using the username '12233'.
Select adaptation.
Select the corresponding channel and change the value (which can only be changed within certain limits).

Example: Channel 1: Since this information indicates to the engine control unit (ECU) how long the valve was open, an increase in the value results in a reduction in the fuel injection quantity.

Example: Channel 2: An increase in value results in a higher idle speed.

Channel 1: Injection amount.
Channel 2: Idle speed.
Channel 3: Air mass.
Channel 4: Injection timing.
Channel 5: Starting amount.
