Hi.
Recently, I've observed the following scenario with my Passat:
- He was very rude when he started talking.
- Each molding process required extreme precision, otherwise it would tear.
The biggest concern was that the clutch might be worn out. And that after only 2.5 years and 55,000 kilometers.
The difference compared to our Golf (which had already run 120,000 km) was huge.
The Golf started smoothly (except for a slight rattling sound from the 1.9 PD engine), and when shifting gears, you could almost let the clutch out however you wanted; it smoothed everything out.
That reminded me of an Audi TPL.
The A6 models with a 125 kW TDI engine have issues with the pressure plate. These can corrode overnight in humid weather, which can cause jerking when starting.
Okay, so my idea is to polish the plate.
Yesterday, I tried to drive around the city with a lot of throttle and slipping the clutch. It was almost impossible. Either the engine would immediately stall, or I was revving the engine past 4000 RPM. Eventually, I gave up.
And lo, it starts smoothly again. The peak operations are now being gently buffered.
Even this morning.
Are there any VW TPLs (Third-Party Libraries) that are similar to those used by Audi?
It can't be right that I have to occasionally clean the print bed as described above, just to get it to print properly?

"My Audi does the same thing from time to time. I think we're just being too gentle with the clutch and not letting it fully engage. When mine starts to jerk, especially when reversing, I shift into second gear and start with a little more gas from second gear. After that, it's smoother again and doesn't jerk anymore. I've driven 192,000 km." A4 Avant 2,5 tdi 110kw; AFB; BJ2000

There's no TPI (Timing Performance Indicator) like the one Audi uses.
I have a Golf V and I'm experiencing the same problem!
My car usually stays in the garage to save on mileage!
If I leave the vehicle in the garage after it has rained, and then drive it again after some time, the clutch also slips!
But after a little sanding, it's gone again!
I wouldn't worry about that, though!
Is it also rainy or humid where you are?

YES.
I also see a connection with wet weather conditions in my own experience.
I had to really work the clutch to get rid of that jerking.
Next, she will then apply the sealant for me .

"The same thing happens with my Passat. It usually occurs when it's damp and the car has been standing for a couple of days. After a short period of slipping, the problem disappears. It seems that the clutch lining and all the components around it accumulate moisture." 3B5 AJM

This is the organic coating that lives with the moisture .
With sintering, you might end up with noises, or something else... Gruß, der Teileklaus

That reminds me a bit of the TPL (Technical Practice Letter) from the Mercedes WIS (Workshop Information System) for the W124 model.
Problem: The clutch is slipping when starting.
Cause: Corrosion on the pressure plate.
Translation: Solution: 1. Maintaining confidentiality from the customer.
Engage 5th gear, fully depress the clutch pedal while giving the engine full throttle, and then slip the clutch.
3. Tell the customer that a new transmission with a clutch has been installed free of charge because Mercedes loves them so much .
Okay, point 3 is obviously not correct, but the rest is.

I'm having the same problem with my A4.
I'm getting a new clutch installed soon. The VW dealer where I bought the A4 installed an NK clutch because of a leaky oil seal.
Let's see if it gets better with the original part. A4 Limu 07/96 AHU@110PS 192tkm 08/05-05/08

I had the same problem with my 3BG Passat.
With the 4th clutch replacement within the warranty period, there should be a "trial clutch" that solves this problem. After a bit of waiting, they actually provided a new clutch with a presumably new part number.
Unfortunately, I don't have any details or documents about this, nor do I know if I was given incorrect information. However, the fact is that the car no longer jerks when starting in first gear, even in wet weather. However, I do feel a slight vibration when shifting into second gear.
Perhaps this is a clue for people who have access to more information.
