Hello dear community,
Previously, I was able to find quite a bit of helpful information through searching, but now I have my first question... I hope you can help me further.
I would like to replace the differential pressure sensor on my A4 8K, manufactured in 2008. This needs to be learned through STG 01 / Coding II 11.
(throws a sporadic, implausible value)
Unfortunately, he doesn't offer that to me; the field is grayed out.
VCDS is currently up-to-date.
Is it due to the software version of the engine control unit?
Does the sensor absolutely need to be paired, or could it also function without being paired?
I'm attaching an excerpt from SCAN 01. Maybe someone will be able to tell at first glance whether it's a software issue or something I'm doing...
Address 01: Engine Electronics
Label file: RKS\03L-906-022-CAG.clb
Part number: 03L 906 022 JM HW: 03L 906 022 B
Part and/or Version: R4 2.0L EDC H01 3173
Encoding: 0104002C18072920
Thank you for your help.
Greetings

Security Access or Login.
With interjections, it used to work well, but it's also like that now, but it takes a little longer.

Hello Rainer,
Thank you for the tip. I unfortunately didn't write that. I have previously accessed Login 16 and then used the PIN from the VCDS tooltip.
Both of these will also be accepted, but will still not activate coding II 11.
I'll try it again and give you feedback.
In case of emergency, a replacement will be used, which means the adaptation process will take longer.
Greetings

What's the point of it, is the login code for resetting the differential pressure sensor, is that it? The grayed-out button has nothing to do with it; your control unit simply does not support the corresponding function.

Today, I installed the new sensor.
Subsequently, I got acquainted with the basic settings (at least, I think so).
There is a point for Adaption Differenzdrucksensor and also Differenzdrucksenor Lernwerte zurücksetzen.
The first one is probably the right one. Definitely, the system is running error-free --> Error memory is empty.
I wanted to perform a service regeneration afterward, but unfortunately, that didn't work.
First unlock via Login 16 in the 01 control unit.
Then, "Basic Settings" and "Service Regeneration" for the Particulate Filter were selected.
(Everything is green but it doesn't start)
"In my case, it is certainly not strictly necessary, but I would still be interested in understanding why it doesn't work."
Requirements:
Full tank
Water temperature: 80 degrees
Engine on, Engine Control Unit (ECU) with no error codes.
Greetings

During forced regeneration, different conditions (including, but not limited to, "driving") must be met, depending on the engine. See, for example, /viewtopic.php?t=17091&highlight=zwangsregeneration

Hello Rainer,
I have already tried the solutions mentioned in the link. So, it should have also worked in a standing position.
Possibly, an environment parameter was also not configured correctly.
I will try again, however, the measured soot value is 4 g and the calculated soot value is 6 g, therefore I also consider it acceptable.
Greetings

Hello dear community,
I hope you can help me further,
I would like to set up a differential pressure sensor:
- Ignition ON, Engine OFF.
- VCDS -> 01 - Engine -> Coding II
Entered the Logincode (30605) from the VCDS tooltip.
Then I get windows with: VCDS: Login invalid - Login from the control unit not accepted - Error 31: Value range invalid.
Thank you for your help.

What is the differential pressure when the engine is running versus when it is off?
Please provide the difference pressure and offset.
What are the filter loading and ash mass?
Please take screenshots of the data blocks 67, 68 and the "Extended ID".
Best regards, Rainer

Hello Peter,
Since the differential pressure with the engine off is already at 0 mbar, what else should be checked/calibrated? Okay.
Why the control unit doesn't like it is, of course, a different question, perhaps because the value is already okay or the filter is full (ash). I'll check what the permissible ash value is.
Best regards, Rainer

Maximum values for ash mass/volume:
/viewtopic.php?t=20333&highlight=ash mass
Your DPF is full (max. 150g for your engine), see the link above.
You should:
/viewtopic.php?t=24243
or replace the part with a verschandeln one.
Best regards, Rainer

Hello Rainer,
Thank you very much for your help. I will remove, clean, and reset the DPF in the next few days. Then, I also want to refill with Additiv. And that's where I have a question: is there a way to check with VCDS how much Additiv is left in the container, or do I have to remove the container first to check? The next question is: what kind of Additiv should I use? Can you perhaps give me some tips (what brand, where to buy it, etc.)? Last question: if the container is filled and reinstalled, do I need to reset any parameters? Besten Dank schon mal!!!
Best regards
