Thanks to 100% remote work, I hardly drive anymore. For some time now, I've noticed that, like this morning when the outside temperature was 11°C, the fans start running after I turn off the engine. Since I was driving comfortably, there's no question of overheating.
He didn't behave like this before.
I haven't read the error codes yet. Nevertheless, I suspect that something is wrong or that something will break. Viele Grüße
Andreas

First tip:
If the diesel engine is running, it's likely that the regeneration process is active, and to prevent heat buildup, the fan will be running.
Second tip:
possibly due to the use of air conditioning (but unlikely).
Third tip.
Check the values of all temperature sensors when the system is in a cold state.

I can confirm the first two tips based on my wife's A3; she now mostly drives short distances. The same behavior with the fan was observed when it was still being regenerated. With the T6, I don't notice the regeneration process at all, because the driving distances are usually long enough that the DPF regeneration is almost always complete before I park at home.
Perhaps you can use VCDS to perform an actuator test and check the different fan speeds. It's also possible that a low fan speed setting isn't working.
Best regards, Rainer.

"The air conditioning was off. It's probably just a coincidence, and I'm only noticing it when it's regenerating. The error memory is empty." I need to continue monitoring this. Viele Grüße

Especially on short distances and when regeneration is suppressed, it hardly comes out at all. Even though it might seem silly: Before turning it off, listen to see if it's regenerating (higher idle speed, increased momentary power consumption, fans running). Then, unfortunately, you'll have to drive it a bit more, and it will be quieter for longer.

I don't just drive short distances. I don't understand how it can start the regeneration process if neither the water temperature nor the oil temperature is at 90°C. That doesn't make any sense... Viele Grüße

You know... I have a company car that I use quite a bit. Occasionally, I drive from here (near Cologne) to Leipzig at night or in the morning. Since the highways are usually clear then, I drive "quickly." It has happened more than once that, after finally experiencing sufficient thermal lift in the exhaust system as I approach the first traffic light, I notice that the regeneration process is starting.
Besides loading and other parameters, there's also (likely the opinion of someone who doesn't know much) the possibility that it simply triggers after a certain distance (x km). Perhaps I'll be able to achieve that then. Then the regeneration process always happens very quickly.
Now I'm speculating: Your filter is probably quite full, and it's looking for an opportunity to be flushed early... or it's starting early because the first cycle was interrupted.
Just listen for a moment, and if it happens again: drive a short distance and observe what happens.
I assume you've taken care of everything else.

Hi!
I would even modify my CFGB (presumably a configuration file) to the point where it restarts automatically within the first minute after a cold start, even if the regeneration process is interrupted. However, this only started happening after the "cheat update." Previously, it only worked when the engine was warm.

That would also explain why he is so insistent and determined to complete the regeneration process, no matter the cost. At least, I was able to observe the same thing in my own experience. Viele Grüße
