Just a question, and I hope I'm not being ridiculous, I'm not really familiar with diagnoses, if you understand what I mean.
As far as I understand, this vehicle type is based on the Audi Q5.
I temporarily connected VCDS and was able to read the control units.
Specifically, I'm referring to the parking brake control unit with the part number 95B 907 801 C.
"Message: No ROD data," approximately that's the wording. However, some are being suggested .
According to my understanding, the part should have the same construction as the one from the Volkswagen Group with the code 8K0.
Does anyone have any idea what the file extension for this ROD file is?

Info: Not important to me. Possibly only needed for repositioning the brake calipers on the rear axle when changing the pads, without having to borrow another tester from someone else.
For every further shameful act, I am willing.

Ross-Tech wrote: | As you may already know, Porsche models are not supported because we do not have access to Porsche's diagnostic data. This essentially applies to our competitors as well (hence the generally poor market coverage).
The installation list function is typically different or not available in Porsche models, so a manual query using the old method (address by address, but only via CAN) is often the only way to retrieve information. However, this method will not match ASAM data if there is nothing suitable available from the start.
For some models, we have preliminary/use-at-your-own-risk entries in the Autoscan.TXT file that users can comment out/activate to try corresponding auto-scan settings. While the Macan (95B) is similar to the Q5, it's not similar enough to consider this a supported scenario/model.
Please allow the customer to download and install Beta 25.7, followed by this updater. This will slightly increase the data version and add a new Autoscan.TXT file that includes a commented/disabled entry for the Macan. The controller list may be incomplete, but it should provide a better overview in any case.
Beta: https://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/download/beta/current.php
Beta Updater: https://download.ross-tech.de/upd-beta
If the customer has plenty of time (and a charger), they can also perform an "XX - All Addresses" scan. Please note that this only covers addresses up to FF and does not test any of the newer 2-byte addresses.
I like to look at both scans to see if there is still room for further improvements. |

"Too much time" is a rather daring term for me...
I will download and test it sometime.
Thank you very much for the effort, anyway!

I just had a chance to briefly test the beta version, and it only finds the same things during the automatic scan as the regular version does.
"Scanning of all addresses is still pending; it was stopped due to lack of time."
This week, I will catch up on that .

Thank you for the scans. If a selection of RODs is offered to the customer, then the one from a 2017 Q5 would likely be the most suitable option.
EV_ParkiBrake_AU48.rod
This is still an unsupported application. Therefore, if any undesirable effects occur, the customer has made that choice. However, if it were my car, I would try the following steps:

Update, feedback:
Due to a wear indicator warning, I had to replace the brakes, and for that purpose, I used the suggested ROD file.
It works perfectly with that.
It should be noted that only the saddle setback and pad replacement were adjusted. I didn't want to test anything else .

Hi everyone, I'm also experiencing this problem with my Macan, which is a 2016 model. I just wanted to do a quick scan.
Unfortunately, the procedure described above no longer works as intended. Has anyone tried it recently?
The beta version is no longer accessible; according to the description, all beta features are now included in the current version. So, I updated it on my laptop to version 26.3. However, when I then try to run the beta updater, I get an error message saying that version 26.7 (or something similar) is required.
At the very least, version 26.3 doesn't allow for automatic scanning on the Macan, neither with automatic detection nor with any of the Q5 versions. So, it seems not everything has been implemented yet.
