Hello,
ALU should not be used as a material for the AGR closure. The flanges from the shop are made of 8mm thick steel, but they are individually below the minimum order quantity.
Flanges are used because they were originally intended as a secondary means of sealing, but they can be drilled through and a pipe can be attached for custom modifications.
A thin stainless steel plate can also work as a "seal."
Best regards, Rainer.

It will take some time, because apparently, only gynecologists are allowed to take a photo through the hole in the hole *dirty-laugh* | .
I'm quite curious about that.
@Rainer: I'll send you a private message right away. I didn't know you already had those items ready to go in the shop... I wouldn't bother trying to make them myself and bending over backwards.

G3 1Z (performance ... sufficient ) had a copper gasket that lasted over 300,000 km.
(There was) sheet metal from the roofer inside. When removed, the sheet metal was slightly sooty on the exhaust side.
That's all. The engine could have easily reached 500,000 kilometers, but the rest of the components were worn out.
Best regards,
Micha
[edit] I don't want to ruin Rainer's business right now, but a sheet of metal (stainless steel or copper) is falling.
It offers significantly less protection than an 8mm steel plate. Touran 5T1 / DFGA / TGV; Fabia 6Y5 / BNV / GGV

hi Wiesel,
Nobody looks down there... and I mean that the standard poetry was also relatively "thick," at least the one that came with my AGR.

Well... as long as nothing is being looked for.
However, copper sheet also has the advantage of acting as a seal at the same time.
while a steel plate requires seals on both sides.

Based on my own experiences, I would disagree. For me, it has always happened naturally, without any forced effort. MfG. Michael

I want to get my AGR done now too.
Do I need new seals for that? And where can I get them?
Are the two sheets mentioned in the shop listing included?

And to answer the actual question - in the MWB 3, it is possible to highly adapt the air mass.
More air mass -> more fresh air -> less recirculated exhaust gases

Up to what value have you had good experiences with high-altitude air mass adaptation? If so, what are the side effects?

Try everything the MSG offers, but remember its original value.
That's not much you can change.
"I had a new control unit installed at 260,000 km, and then another one at 295,000 km (after it was broken in), haha, the Rainer's 110 kW tuning. In between, I also had repairs done on the clutch, dual-mass flywheel, and transmission (specifically the 5th gear)."
Cylinder head has been overhauled and especially sealed, but the engine is in top condition. The secret to its longevity: regular oil changes! Current mileage is now 425,000 km. 2010 Caddy kombi life 103 tdisg6 BMM KXW

Okay, but I should at least notice something about the upper limits, or, better said, it should damage the engine...
If I increase the air mass, shouldn't the combustion chamber temperature at least increase, according to my reasoning?

Sure, it's already happening, but it's not a problem. See, if you're constantly driving at full throttle, the EGR system isn't active either, and it still works fine. MfG. Michael
