lg

Hello,

Did you really use full throttle in
Quote:
logfile Autobahn
? The logged differential pressure is suspiciously low, actually implausible. This is true for the specified ash mass, and also for a "normal" condition.

-> DPF failure (hole), differential pressure sensor failure, or leaks in the hoses/tubes leading to the differential pressure sensor.

Best regards, Rainer.

No, not full throttle, but it was already at 140 [km/h or mph].
We shouldn't drive any faster in Austria; it will be expensive.

'I'm checking the hoses today. There's a hole in the DPF... hopefully not too big. The differential pressure sensor is working well though; I tried giving it full throttle and the reading increased nicely.'

Post05-04-2011, 11:06    Subject: Subject: Issues with the BRT system in the Sharan Quote

Der Mechaniker meinte sie müssen noch 2-3 Stunden suchen, ist nicht einfach den Fehler zu finden.

Did this statement come from a Volkswagen dealership, or was it from the company with the red flags?
Bei VW gehört das Auslesen der Aschemasse ab 120 tkm übrigens zur normalen Regelwartung ...

Here's the translation:

'This is how it unfolded: The display showed 'MFA,' then wrote 'exhaust system' and 'workshop'.'
I then went to the workshop and asked them to check the error memory because I was having a problem.

After waiting for about an hour, it was finally my turn. He drove my Sharan inside, plugged in the computer... click, click, he looked at the screen, hmmm... he opened the hood, shone a flashlight into the engine compartment, then closed it again... hmmm, he looked again, click.

I then stupidly asked what was going on, and then I received a reply: 'We need the car for longer; it could take 2-3 hours to find the problem.'

No driving with the computer, nothing at all.

He didn't even delete the error for me.

Now I'll figure it out myself, because the workshop definitely won't help me anymore.

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

'lg' translates to 'best regards' or 'kindly regards' in English. It is a common abbreviation used at the end of emails and letters.

Best regards, Rainer.

I'll do it this afternoon, but what exactly should I log?

Please write down MWB 10 and 68 beforehand.

Log: MWBs 1, 3, 67, and then the same sequence again with 1, 11, 67.

Okay, I'll do it, probably in third gear. I wouldn't be able to manage it in fourth (the speed would be too high).

Best regards,
Michi

Hi everyone...

I now have the log files.
Once in second gear and once in third gear.
Next time, shift back to the 2nd and 3rd gears.

These are the other data points that I previously wrote down.

10 0.0 979 979 0
325 = = =
68 19.7 14 0.0

First quick shot: G450 is screwed.

because:
- huge offset
- Negative and too small differences.

And the 1.9-liter engine already has 130 millibars of pressure when it's running, and that one only has 105 horsepower, so it definitely produces fewer emissions.

Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.
Transparency, Teamwork
... there was another T.

I don't know what the f*ck it was.

@dieselmartinViewing profile: dieselmartin:

Does your KDataScope 1.08 crash when working with files?
I can only view them for a very short time (about 2 seconds), then I get a protection violation error.
Furthermore, this also applies to VC-Scope version 1.9.

hi...
Yes, I'm experiencing the same issue; it keeps crashing.
Please take a look at the data in the Excel file.

So, it could be that the differential pressure switch is defective... hmm.

Hello,

Currently, the version is KDataScope 1.09. icon_wink.gif Nevertheless, there are two log files within a single CSV file, and this CSV file was then posted twice. The two (identical) files are garbage. icon_sad.gif I have corrected it.

The differential pressure is too low (unrealistic). Furthermore, it cannot be negative.

"Most likely, the differential pressure sensor is defective or its hose/tubing connection is faulty."

Best regards, Rainer.

Thanks to @Rainer and @mhernach.

What offset could still be considered healthy?
Mine is also at 3 mbar.

Hmm, I don't understand that. I thought I had two logs.

Okay, I will translate the following text from German to English and provide only the translation:

'post another one now, that would be the other one!'

but how can I display the '-values'?

Best regards.

'Edit admin: This was another junk file; I mentioned above what was wrong with it.'

aber wie kann denn der - werte anzeigen... ?

Please provide the text you would like me to translate from German to English. I will then give you only the translation, without any explanations.

Best regards, Rainer.
