Speed Sensor Gear

Hi everyone,

I have a rev limiter for a T2 gearbox.
(with an inductor) built.
Now I've heard that VW/Audi also use hall effect sensors.
They are available in 2- or 3-wire versions.

Does anyone know how they work/are verified?

normal, hallgeber have the following labeling:

8H = +
7 = signal
31d= -

"Hallgeber with 2 cables - I think only the French use them, because I don't know the cable connection anymore. I don't think VW used something like that either."

Hi,

The voltage of the signal in an inductive sensor is speed-dependent. At low speeds, the voltage is also relatively low.
The tension in Hallgebers remains constant.

From Bosch, the catalog only lists 3-pole Hall sensors.
