Hello,
Our ALH Ibiza is scheduled to receive a new water pump next week (along with all the related components, of course).
The record indicates the following regarding the part number for ZR:
1. 038 109 119 D up to engine number 500000.
2.038.109.119 M, applicable from engine number 500001.
Interestingly, none of the parts that came into contact with the belt were changed at the same time.
Christel's Ibiza has the engine number 462670, so it should get the belt "".
What would be the arguments against using an M-belt, considering that higher letter designations usually indicate improved revisions?
The prices of both belts are the same... Gruß Ulf

Hi Ulf,
Check out the ContiTech page on the website.
I have analyzed both VW part numbers.
According to my catalog, different belts have the same price.
Here are the ContiTech part numbers.
CT946 for 038109119D.
CT1044 for 038109119M.
Best regards,

Ulf.
You have a typo in your post.
Please provide the text you would like me to translate from German to English. I will then give you only the translation, without any explanations.
Belt 1 to number 1233.
Belts, starting from number 1234.
So, because of engine number 0815, use belt type 3.

... does not compute.
Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation. Transparency, Teamwork

Hello.
Do engines with different production dates or engine numbers have different maintenance intervals? I remember that with the 1.9 SDI engine, everything was the same except for the timing belt.
Best regards,
Dirk

It seems the issue is resolved, as I found the timing belt repair kit: 038 198 119 E, which is compatible with all ALH engines (regardless of engine number), and according to the documentation, it includes a timing belt marked "M". Gruß Ulf
