I don't know whether I should be annoyed or happy.
If this misfortune had happened a day earlier, I would have stopped with a VW bus at the trailer on the highway. One day later in Italy.
Vehicle: Audi Allroad, 10/2001, 300,000km, 180PS TDI engine.
Two nights ago, I wanted to leave my father's house at 12:00 AM,
when I noticed that the servo wasn't working and the battery light was on.
Ok, the serpentine belt is worn or the alternator is seized.
However, it turned out that the tension arm of the V-belt had snapped.
More precisely, he had already jumped away a few kilometers ago. He had to work his way through the plastic cover in order to completely detach.
I initially thought that the workshop manager had forgotten to put the Loctite locking agent on.
But when I went to Audi to get the €80 screw and wanted to screw it in,
I was soon to be lodged in the thread. The remaining part of the broken screw was stuck inside.
I thought that the bomb was securely installed and wanted to remove the Spanner's battery compartment, which is attached to the rear of the car via the servo pump holder. This requires dismantling the rest of the car so that you can access it
However, I was then disqualified!! Inbusschraube of the anti-vibration damper on the suspension strut,
Instead of recommending this warehouse to you further, as I had previously done.
So, I tried to use the screwdriver to remove the broken piece from the screw.
To my surprise, I noticed that the screwdriver was getting closer.
So, I had the second half of the Euro eighty-eight screw in my hand.
The other half is probably on the highway.
"A red color was observed on the thread, likely Loctite red."
According to the repair manual, this screw should only be tightened to 30nm.
I think I will still secure them with screw locks, though.
I also don't know what to do with the 7 Inbus screws of the main vibration damper. Normally, I think they should be new.
I would, however, apply Loctite blue instead.
Do you, by any chance, know of any similar defects, or was this a one-off occurrence?
I thought that with brand new cylinder heads, a thermostat, and a needle valve,
as soon as I don't expect any new repairs
Oh yes... Screwing outdoors at 7 degrees Celsius is exactly as exhilarating as you imagine.
