Hello.

Having received such excellent and professional help last time, I'm encountering another problem.

I have a Golf 4 with a BCB engine (1.6L 16V), manufactured in 2003.

Since yesterday, the door on the back left side has been stuck and won't open. It's also impossible to open it from the inside.
The following error occurs during the reading process:
Control unit 46.
00930 - Rear left central locking control unit (F222)
27-00 - implausible signal.
After deleting the data, I can at least open the door from the inside again. After closing it with the central locking system, the problem reappears.

What's also very strange is:

Bei erstmaligen Auslesen war auch noch der gleiche Fehler für die Fahrertüre (F221) im Steuergerät. Nach dem Löschen ist dieser Fehrer nicht mehr wiedergekommen. Der Türknopf für die Fahrertüre steht auch ca. 5mm nach dem Schließen aus der Verkleidung heraus??? Bei allen anderen Türen schleißen die Knöpfe mit der Türverkleidung ab. Ist das norSure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

"mal??
"
It all started when the hazard lights stopped flashing while the car was being locked, even though the vehicle was supposedly locked.
How can I use VAG software to test the microswitch (set points)?

Thank you.

That sounds very much like microswitches that are failing prematurely.
You can see all the states of the door in the measurement blocks (open/closed - locked/unlocked).
Please check them all. Otherwise, unfortunately, the rear doors are also sometimes prone to cable breakage at the attachment points to the body.

S....

"While trying to read the control unit, my computer froze. The control unit also reported an error. Since then, I haven't been able to read the control unit; it always returns no response. However, I can query all other control units. Is there a way to reset the control unit?"

Thank you, Fred.

Okay, so the trick with disconnecting the power worked. I removed fuse 14 and reinserted it, and then I was able to access the control unit again.
Now I have a new problem. Measurement block 9 for the affected door shows "safe".
The door cannot be opened anymore. Clearing the error also doesn't work. How can the "safe" setting be disabled?

Thank you, Fred999.

Okay, now that the car is repaired. Here's the solution. It's not possible to unlock it using VAG software. The door must be opened from the inside. This is an extremely complex and difficult procedure.
By the way, the problem was the lock. After replacing it, everything was fine again.

"Thank you anyway."

...or a microswitch in the lock. We could have told you that VAG COM cannot unlock it icon_smile.gif.
