Hi everyone!

I have a big request for you!

Can anyone tell me how I can increase the turbo boost on my TDI?
Golf 4 ENGINE: ALH icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

And maybe someone can tell me why I no longer hear the sound of the pressure relief valve when I release the accelerator pedal?
Could it possibly be because I installed a Remus exhaust? icon_rolleyes.gif

I would be very happy if there was someone who was so collegial and could help me! icon_cry.gif

Hi,
What do you hope to achieve by increasing the boost pressure? Are you aiming for increased power?

Furthermore, your engine can only have either a wastegate or a VTG turbocharger. Since you're talking about an ALH engine, it should, in my opinion, have a wastegate turbocharger.

Yes, I also want to achieve a performance increase with it.
A tuned engine control unit from Tuneline is already installed, along with fuel injectors from a 2.5L TDI engine, an open sport air filter with cold air intake, a Gruppe N exhaust system (without catalytic converter) from the turbocharger onwards, and a Remus muffler.
Mr. Ing. Kölbel from Tuneline emailed me, stating that I could only increase the boost pressure slightly, but he didn't tell me how.

I'm not worried about the durability because the vehicle is only driven to events.

Do you have any idea how one could increase the boost pressure?

Hi.

To increase the pressure, you need to reduce the signal from the pressure sensor to the engine control unit; this will result in a higher pressure being regulated.

However, in terms of performance, it usually doesn't make a difference (at least with engines in their original condition), because the amount of fuel injected at full load is not determined by the air mass, but by the torque curve.

And how do you do that in more detail?
installing a chip, specifically the second chip.

Reading professional articles is educational!

-> Box-chip comparison, 10c tuning...

Hmmm, if I'm not mistaken, the ALH has a VTG turbocharger. icon_wink.gif

The rumor seems to be very persistent in certain circles.
