Hello, my Altea, manufactured in 2005, is giving me problems with the rear doors.
It manifests in the fact that, even though I open one of the rear doors, he still locks all the doors after a few minutes.
He doesn't realize that they were on. The lamp also doesn't turn on.

Since you are using VCDS, please enter the serial number in your profile so that your status is displayed correctly.
Regarding your issue:
Since the errors with the windows are intermittent, I would try clearing them and see what happens. They might have been there for a long time (perhaps due to a dead battery?).
Then, use VCDS to access the rear door control modules and check the door contact switch values to see if it's functioning correctly. If communication is established but the measurement block doesn't respond, then the respective door lock is likely faulty.
Greetings.
Guste.

There was a series of 1K0 door control units that can fail if the battery is disconnected.
It sounds like voodoo, but I experienced it on EOS!!
However, in most cases, the fuel injectors are installed backward, so pressing the accelerator pedal causes the engine to shut down. In that situation, the fuel injectors need to be swapped.
However, if everything is working properly, I would prefer Guste's approach.

Okay, I'll give it a try.
The battery probably isn't in the best condition anymore, but I haven't had any problems yet. How about a broken cable?
Regards,
Martin.
