Hello everyone!
I'm having the following problem:
'I can no longer access the comfort control module using VAG-COM; it was working yesterday.'
Everyone else is reporting in without any issues.
Even with the AUTO-scan method, it cannot be found.
Does she have any idea?
I hope you can help me; I unfortunately couldn't find anything relevant using the search function.
Regards,
Leonsberger.

Hmm, I don't have a solution, but I have a question: What exactly is the 'Komfortsteuergerät' (comfort control unit), and from when was it installed?
Best regards, WarLord.

It is used to control the central locking system, alarm system, etc.
Can you configure settings like the honking sound when locking, the blinking frequency, the alarm tone, etc.?

Golf 4, used or new?
Either a fuse is blown, or... Occasionally, the communication in these devices freezes. Since these devices are always powered (even when turned off), you have to reboot them. So, if all the fuses are okay, disconnect both cables from the battery, then hold the cables together for 10 seconds (this discharges the capacitors in the control units). Reconnect the cables.

Yep, I can confirm that.
Sometimes, the komfort-STG system gets stuck during communication.
However, it is then sufficient to simply pull the relevant fuse (which will also turn off the interior lighting, serving as a kind of check).

Hmm, did the Passat 35i B4 already have something like that (I doubt it, though)?
Best regards, WarLord.

'Thank you, the tip about the fuse worked. However, the control unit is not accepting the values I'm setting. I click 'Save' and confirm that it should write the values to the control unit, but the new value is not being applied.'
Do you have any other suggestions for me?

I would like to activate the horn to sound when locking the car and enable the interior monitoring feature of the alarm system. I have a Seat Leon TDI PD, model year 2002.
