Seat Ibiza 6L GRA, functions disabled, unlocking not performed

Hello everyone,

I installed a GRA (Gearbox Ratio Adapter) in my Seat Ibiza 6L. After the installation, I entered the LOGIN code mentioned here using VCDS. As far as I can tell, the control unit recognized the GRA. However, the cruise control is not working while driving. I drove faster than 50 km/h and tested all the switch functions.

I have to say that I only received the VCDS today via mail, and I have no experience whatsoever regarding what this device can do. I've already clicked around a bit and tried to query some values.

Can you give me some tips on how to get the cruise control working?

The GRA (Gas Recirculation) is not activated in the engine control unit. What exactly did you do when you tried to activate it?

The engine identification code is BUK.

I initially selected the individual control unit (engine control unit) and then, instead of going to the coding section, I went to the login section. In that area, a login code was immediately suggested to me via a pop-up, which I had previously found in this forum. I entered and confirmed this.

I just re-entered the login information. The control unit now correctly displays the G 1.9l R4 EDC G000SG 8353. When I enter the deactivation code in the login screen, the "G" disappears again.

Check the wiring. Then, verify the measurement blocks for the switch positions. Are there any further registrations or configurations required on the steering column control unit, etc., for this vehicle?

The airbag is connected to its control unit via a cable that runs through a coiled spring.
If you have a problem there after the modification (hopefully the battery was disconnected during the modification).
It's 99% likely that the connector on the steering column is not properly connected.
Sanding is usually caused by dirt between the sandpaper and the surface.

I've disconnected and reconnected the plug several times. The clicking sound is also clearly audible when closing it. I therefore suspect that the problem is not related to the connection.

Cleaning is a good idea, so I can take care of that. The problem is that there were no noises before the GRA was installed. Therefore, I actually suspect that I damaged the slip ring while installing it, specifically while focusing on the cruise control system.
