Hello VCDS programmers,
I was able to pair two keys using the instructions about four weeks ago.
Now I've also had the second copy key made and want to pair it. Now, every time I try to log in, I get the warning "Login failed due to connection interruption" => Does anyone have an idea?
Here's what I did four weeks ago:
Insert the original key and turn the ignition on.
STG 25 (Immobilizer) selected.
STG Login -> 02871 (see image for login credentials).
-> Channel 00 (learning values) selected.
Wersaved.
Original key: ignition off, remove and insert the second key, turn on, then off, then remove => both keys, immobilizer OK.
Unfortunately, I didn't log out â as I just realized => Is that the problem?
Thank you and best regards.
Enrico.

Hi.

Did you install any other versions of VCDS in between? The current version is VCDS 16.8.2. Is the vehicle's on-board voltage okay, or is the battery dead?
Best regards, Rainer.

Did I understand correctly that you specified 2 keys above, but now want to learn 3?

Thank you for your answers.
@ dieselschrauber :
VCDS version 16.8.1 is installed / a previous version was installed before. => Even with the new version, it still doesn't work.
Battery/voltage OK (12.1V).
@DieselBear30x:
Yes, exactly!
(Background: The locksmith who cut the keys mentioned that the two keys might not work. So, I initially only had one key cut and programmed.)
Now, I'd like to add the third key to the system as well...
Greetings from the Rhine Valley.

What prevents you from specifying "3" instead of "2" as the key during the learning procedure?
Does this third key have a cloned transponder?
How far do you get exactly during the initial setup process?
Best regards from Munich!

@DieselBär30x: Commuter?
I can't log in to the control unit anymore and I don't know why.
The PIN for the keychain with the number 02871 should be correct.
However, there's always:
"Lost login due to connection interruption..."
That won't get you anywhere.
I also tried to log in to the control panel, but it didn't work â I got the same error.
After entering the PIN, the VCDS software briefly displays a message indicating "no response - appears to be overloaded" before displaying "Logging in...".
Greetings.
Enrico.

Sometimes, yes .
Try the already compromised PIN "3645".

Okay, the login needs to be unlocked, so your login is 03645.
The numbers 72 and 02871 are the codes for the mechanical key.

Hi there,
I was briefly confused about the trailer hitch. A Roomster is usually at least a 2006 model year or newer. But it seems that Skoda actually provided the codes for longer. Volkswagen stopped doing that since the year 2000. But that's just a side note.
It doesn't say how old the Ĺ koda is, nor where those keys came from.
Or, to put it another way: What specific types of transponders are inside?
Are these brand new transponders that have never been programmed before, are not blocked, and may potentially be pre-encoded (Skoda: TP24) ID48 transponders?
The 5J model used Immo 3 until the spring of 2010, and then switched to Immo 4. This involves specific requirements for the transponders. However, we won't go into further detail about that right now.
There are 3 things you can do:
Compare the immobilizer ID on the keychain with the one from the control unit (using VCDS). Make sure nothing has been replaced for any reason, as this can invalidate the login process.
2. If possible for the specific model, transfer the transponders from the old key to the new one. This can bypass the entire procedure.
3. Remote programming at the car dealership. It's definitely a more complex topic than it initially appears. However, if the transponders in these keys don't match the vehicle's WFS generation, then the process will fail.
But maybe, with a little luck, everything will work out, and hopefully this time it will be successful with the 03645.
Good luck!
