VW T6 Seatbelt Warning: Disable with VCDS

Go to control unit address 17 (dashboard insert/combination instrument), then open the long coding assistant there and click through the bytes.

I took two pictures with my phone; I haven't taken a Screenshot yet. The first picture shows "Stg 17," and the second picture shows "07 Codierung."

Hello, it didn't work out very well. The first two images have a "07" code, while the third image has an "STG 17" long code. I still have a lot to learn. Thanks, Wolfgang.

Okay, and what happens when you click the "Coding Assistant" button?

Sorry, I didn't dare to do that. I have to drive through Thuringia again tomorrow. If I click on it, will it eventually display a "seatbelt warning" and remove the checkmark? Tomorrow after work, I will try it out. Thank you for your help, Wolfgang.

As long as you don't save the new encoding, nothing can go wrong with the encoding assistant.
