Audi A6: Unlock Immobilizer with Code via OBC

I would like to ask for your help.

I have an Audi A6 4B, model 1998, and the immobilizer is malfunctioning.
The wiring to the coil in the ignition switch is likely faulty.
(a well-known problem).

I now wanted to enter the 4-digit code via the instrument panel.
to activate the emergency start function and be able to drive.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to confirm the input at the end.
Through trial and error, I eventually entered the wrong code.
and I locked the system, and the display showed "FAIL".

The car is now with the dealer, and the failed attempt has been erased.
The immobilizer is still active.
I would like to repair the coil or cable myself and drive the car home. I have some questions about that:

- If I enter the 4-digit code via the instrument cluster, how do I confirm it?

- Can the emergency start function be used an unlimited number of times, or is it limited to a certain number of uses, such as once or three times?

- If the system is locked due to incorrect input, then proceed to successfully activate the coil.
Once the system is repaired, does the lock remain in place, or is the lock released when the car is started?
