Evening.
Currently, I'm wondering whether the new MAN TGE is also supported by VCDS. The TGE is essentially just the Crafter with a different grille and the MAN logo on the steering wheel. Does anyone know if the control units have been retained, or if MAN has made any changes to the software that would allow their own diagnostic system to communicate with it?

Hi,
Does it have a 12V or 24V electrical system, and therefore the corresponding voltage at the diagnostic connector?
Background: The central rib of the OBD2 connector is designed differently for 24V systems to prevent damage due to excessively high operating voltage.
Best regards, Rainer.

Hello Rainer,
The TGE has a 12V electrical system.
Regards,
Thilo.
Edit:
According to Ross Tech, support for VW Crafter and MAN TGE has been available since release version 17.8.0.
However, it seems that only a limited number of control units are supported. The Crafter mostly uses control units from DB, and thus also the TGE. Kaum macht man es richtig, funktioniert es!
