Okay, the new sensor is installed.

The old part was defective. Initially, a new replacement part was purchased, but it was also defective. The errors that appeared in the initial car scan were obviously caused by the defective sensor and were not pre-existing issues. The errors have been cleared and will not reappear.

The new Autoscan is attached below. The problem with pairing remains. Ignition on, engine off. First attempt: code entered, error 31 appears.

What am I doing wrong?

Does the sensor even need to be calibrated? By repeatedly turning the ignition on and off, the differential pressure is now at zero. Previously, the offset was significantly out of range, but it appears to have corrected itself. The engine is running, but hasn't initiated a new regeneration cycle yet due to low mileage. The values are plausible.

"We've already installed the third differential pressure sensor, a Bosch unit. It worked for a few weeks, and now it has failed again. We also replaced the wiring to rule out any loose connections outside of the sensor itself."

The problem was that it started regenerating prematurely, but unfortunately didn't complete the process. A check revealed a sensor error and implausible values. So I installed a new one, cleared the error codes, performed the relearn procedure by turning the ignition on and off, and now it shows zero when the engine is off, and otherwise provides plausible and stable readings.

Okay, so the DPF light is still on. This means it's trying to complete a regeneration cycle. Ironically, it's not actually regenerating. How do I get the light off? Should I force a regeneration?

The first replacement sensor arrived defective. The second one was a cheap part and failed after only a few weeks. Then I tried another Bosch sensor. When that started acting up, I checked the wiring. The connector looked slightly corroded on the surface. However, there was no short circuit and no dirt visible on the contacts. Nevertheless, I replaced the entire cable harness to be on the safe side.

The pressure sensor is broken again. The readings are going haywire, and an error code has been stored. Since I already replaced the sensor, the error message wasn't saved; I just cleared it.

The filter seems to be full. The mileage is unclear due to the car being a used purchase. However, a new DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) is already here and just needs to be installed in the car.

The steering and braking electronics were temporarily unresponsive, and the control unit is not responding.

Access via laptop, battery operation, no antivirus software, and no other use besides VCDS. The battery is in such good condition that it could even power a Tesla .
