vw Polo 6C Front Assist error after trailer hitch installation

Hello, I'm new here, as you can probably tell. I recently got VCDS and unfortunately haven't been able to find what I'm looking for through the search function.

Two weeks ago, a Polo 6C was given to me by someone from the extended family, after which an unknown person had installed a tow hitch.

Looking back, I think I coded the AHK in the same way that I'm reading about now on "dieselschrauber."

Perhaps someone will immediately spot what's wrong, or has experienced a similar issue with a similarly young vehicle.

Do you have a way to access the original coding information? Because I didn't find any instructions on how to code the tow hitch for initial setup.
Based on the error message, it appears that the ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) is not working or is not functioning correctly.

Okay, I'm not following this. In your first post, you wrote that someone mechanically installed the trailer hitch and that you coded everything as described. Was anything already coded at that point? Did you see any errors or use a car scan tool at that time? What exactly else did you do?

Okay, this is all getting a bit vague. If someone has previously coded data on their computer, you need to retrieve that data and properly store it in VCDS. Then, verify the coding and correct any errors.

Right now, everything is just a mess and nothing seems to work properly.

Without knowing the original encodings and without documentation specifying what needs to be encoded, the path to Volkswagen will remain unavoidable.

Yes, that's a shame. I suspected that I wouldn't be able to proceed without the previous data from that person. Unfortunately, I don't know what he did. So, I suppose I'll have to take them to VW. Thank you for your efforts, though.

Why don't you take the car back to the installer of the trailer hitch? They should either properly code it or at least reset the original coding.

So, the person who wrote the code is known. They should provide their log file; it's quite simple, as it contains everything about what changes were made, when, and by whom.
