Update for VCDS German version 25.3.1, multi-brand diagnostics

The new German VCDS version 25.3.1 with an updated data version 20250429 is now available.

In your customer account under
you will find updated installation packages for your VCDS diagnostics to download.

- Improvement: Error when saving/printing ECU information corrected
- Improvement: Plugin/Assistant VCDSScan/Toolboxupdated
- New feature: Support for new/upcoming models (e.g., Premium Platform Electric (PPE))
- New feature: Automatic query of the Extended Identification (as part of the control unit mapping)
- New feature: Display of all detected event/error memory entries at the end of the auto-scan
- New feature: Detection/display of SFD/SFD2 (see auto-scan)
- New feature: Support for additional OBD-2/EOBD Mode 9 data types
- Improvement: Improved differentiation between address 17 & 7E (e.g., Models based on MEB & PPE)
- Improvement: Missing control units/addresses related to HEX-NET v1 via WLAN have been corrected
- Improvement: Adaptation for ASAM/UDS (parameter passing) has been expanded
- Improvement: Actuator diagnostics for ASAM/UDS (parameter passing) have been expanded
- Improvement: Basic configuration for ASAM/UDS (parameter passing) has been revised
- Improvement: Display/handling of Autoscan/MyAutoScan content has been revised
- Improvement: Query within the extended identification has been expanded (immobilizer, datasets & RSxWIN)

Is there a timeline yet regarding the SFD Unlock issue, and when Rosstech might be able to offer a solution?

Or, I'm seeing something about HEX NET v3 here - are there any pictures or more information available about it yet? I still have a HEX NET V1, and I'm inclined to potentially "upgrade" it sometime, especially if it would result in VCDS Mobile running more stably.

The most fundamental difference, besides the updated electronics, is the preparation for DoIP (Diagnostics over IP). I can't say much about the stability of VCDS-Mobile, as it likely depends heavily on the specific vehicle and the protocols being used.
It makes sense to update the HEX-NET regularly (be careful, it takes longer and involves multiple loops, so it's best not to update it on Monday mornings at the start of work). It's currently running very stably on my T6.

I probably phrased something incorrectly - so, the SFD token thing is fundamentally a good idea, if it actually happens. I've been considering whether to temporarily purchase an OBD11 device, as it seems to be implemented there already.

Okay, the firmware update on the HEX-NET device is "regularly" performed and is also up-to-date. My experience with VCDS Mobile has been somewhat mixed so far, but that might also be due to not having tried it enough times. If you say that it works stably for you, I'll give it another chance.

Update: HEX-NET V3 is simply a different hardware revision of HEX-NET V2, and it doesn't matter to the customer.
