I want to treat my VW T4 2.5 TDI to new, original Bosch injectors for its 600,000 km milestone. They were last overhauled at 300,000 km, and now they're starting to smoke slightly when idling.
It's important to me that I don't install any fireworks made in China. However, even after hours of searching, I can only find imitation nozzles.
Could it be that Bosch no longer manufactures these injectors?
The Bosch customer service would not provide me with any information on this matter, as these types of products are only sold from business to business.
It's specifically about the DSLA150P764 nozzles with a size of 0.216mm.
Alternativ Bosio Sprint 502, 0.217mm.
Bosio Power Plus 502, 0.232mm. Dieselkontor and H-Turbo, which might have listed these nozzles, don't actually have them. It's much more amusing when potential buyers send inquiries for nothing.
Or did you actually come up with alternatives that were of comparable quality?
That is, of course, also correct when you consider the reverse.
However, when I want to buy nozzles like that,

And I wouldn't buy them based on a hunch, as they are excluded from returns.
After Bosch responded that the nozzles should be available again starting in November, which of course they were not, I was able to find them in England.
DSLA150P764 0433175176 was the exact designation.
Als ich die Köpfe verbaut habe, stellte ich an den Düsen welche ich vor 10 Jahren bei 300.000km ausgebaut hatte fest, dass die Federn durch die Lagerung leichten Flugrost angesetzt haben. Ich bin mir nicht sicher wie sich der Kraftstoff genau in der Düse verteilt, habe aber wenig lust mir meine neuen Düsen zu zerstören. Man könnte eventuell mit etwas nicht abrasiven strahlen, zB Mehl, jedoch habe ich da trotzdem ein komisches Gefühl. Weiss jemand zufällig wie es sich mit Fremdkörpern in Einspritzdüsen verhält? Ich meiI once read that there's a sintered metal filter inside.

You can probably also forget about finding something like that.

Actually, the feathers are in the bucket. If the feathers also had a surface treatment, they are even more in the bucket.
A little bit of restoration might be possible.
Remove the surface rust with a nylon brush or a brass brush, then place the springs in a 10% citric acid solution. Check frequently; the steel should only become clean, not eaten away.
Do you know any electroplaters? They might be able to use nitric acid for this, and they have a sense of how long the etching process should take.
Deep notches indicate where the fracture will likely occur later.
And remember, the feathers are part of the nozzle assembly.

Of course, I know that everything should fit in exactly the same way as before, as long as you don't have a testing device to check the opening pressure of the second stage.
I will simply overhaul the currently installed nozzle holders, carefully remove the rust from the rusty ones, fill them with test oil, and seal them to prevent this from happening again.
I have now overhauled the built-in nozzle holders, which I last overhauled almost exactly 300,000 kilometers ago. I set the opening pressure to 220 bar back then. Now it's between 170 and 190 bar.
Since I was using inexpensive nozzles back then, I was expecting that only a few of the holes would have flow, and that the nozzles would produce a more stream-like spray rather than a mist.
But I certainly didn't expect that!
Dass die Teile so schön schnarren nach dieser Laufleistung, damit hätte ich nicht gerechnet. AThey were all like that.
