We have installed a Laguna Motor 2.2 TD into an Espace 2.2 TD, manufactured in 1998. At the Laguna engine, the Laguna fuel pump was also installed (in the Espace).
Now it has been discovered that the Espace engine control unit does not recognize the Laguna engine's fuel pump, and the Renault workshop believes that the new timing belt must be removed again, the fuel pump must be removed, and the old fuel pump with 270,000 km must be reinstalled.
But I don't want that (apart from the working time of about 1 day), I also have the old stuff left over.
Do you have any ideas??? Can I still use the codes from both vehicles?
or
can I simply remove the electronic part of the Laguna fuel pump while it is still in place?
remove (break) and attach the 'old' Espace electronics to the Laguna pump.
However, if possible, it is also a very laborious task, as there are demolition screws and, above all, a lack of space.
hello, does anyone really know anything about this?? or does anyone have any information on where I can find out more?
It seems that none of the people reading this have any experience with the Laguna. People who specialize in also help others.
