Hello fellow DIY enthusiasts,

Does anyone know how this error occurs or what the possible causes might be?

The car was manufactured in August 2009 and has 44,000 kilometers on the odometer.
It is still under warranty, so they are going to install a new DPF icon_smile.gif.
But only based on suspicion.

The error occurs sporadically on the highway, specifically when driving downhill.

Here is the error log:
Code:

Adresse 01: Motor (CBA)       Labeldatei: RKS\03L-906-022-CBA.clb
   Teilenummer SW: 03L 906 022 BJ    HW: 03L 906 022 G

                    (keine Einheit): 224.4
                    Kilometerstand: 210 km

Readiness: 1 1 0 0 0

I have extracted the following data from the DPF:

Code:

16:22:47 Block 105: Partikelfilter
  00000000  Binärwert
  3.0  Angeforderte Regenerationen
  162.0°C  Temperatur

16:23:36 Block 100: Partikelfilter
  180.0°C  Temperatur vor Oxidationskatalys.
  84.0°C  Temperatur vor Partikelfilter
  8 mbar  Partikelfilter Differenzdruck
  3 mbar  Partikelfilter Offset Differenzdr.

16:23:36 Block 101: Partikelfilter
  0 /min  Motordrehzahl (G28)
  0.0  Notregeneration aktuelle Dauer
  0.0  Notregeneration Zeit seit Freigabe
  0.0  Erfolgreiche Regenerationen

16:23:36 Block 106: Partikelfilter

  42.7 l  Verbrauch seit Regeneration
  840 km  Strecke seit Regeneration
  660.0  Zeit seit Regeneration

Notably, the distance covered since the last regeneration is 840 km.
Is it not normally regenerated every 600 kilometers?
Shouldn't the differential pressure be 0 when the engine is turned off?
Does the MSG always display the last valid value?

"I've also noticed that the differential pressure doesn't seem to change when the engine is running and there are gas pulses; is that normal?"

Sure, here's the translation:

"Dear Christian,"

Hello,

Quote:

Please do not let the engine run anymore. Reason: If the hoses to the differential pressure sensor are disconnected, exhaust gases will flow through the pipes/hoses and heat them up. This will cause the rubber/plastic to melt, and the area where the gases escape will become "hot."

I would first check the hoses leading to the differential pressure sensor. If they are okay, I would blow air through them and observe the diagnostic values.
If nothing happens, then the differential pressure sensor is likely defective.

See also: Differential pressure sensor information.

Best regards, Rainer.

Hello,

Thank you for the answer.
I checked the hoses, and there's nothing charred or burned.
But the differential pressure always remains the same.
The sensor has the part number 03G906051A, so it's likely that this one is defective.
I will tell it to the icon_smile.gif.

When the icon_smile.gif are finished, I will report.

"Thank you very much!"

SG Christian.

Hello everyone,

Here's the solution: as suspected, the sensor was defective.
The icon_smile.gif have installed a new one, with the number: 076 906 051 A.
Then, after another forced restart, everything is working again.
No software update was performed.

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

"Sg Christian"

This is a greeting or a way of signing off in a casual or informal setting. It is similar to saying "Sincerely" or "Best regards" in English.

Awesome!

Do these things probably also die, even though they are mounted on the chassis with vibration-dampening mounts (instead of on the engine, as with the PD system)?

I'm definitely going to get at least one to have on hand.

Is it possible that CR-TDIs, in general, can travel more kilometers between regeneration cycles than PD engines?

I can't get more than 400km out of the CBBB.

Michi.

Does your V6 possibly have 2 filters?

Then each cylinder would only have to provide fuel for three cylinders. However, even with double the power output per cycle, that still wouldn't be enough.

Hello,

How is a new differential pressure sensor calibrated in the G VI system?
APK 83 on channel 1, and ignition off/on?

It's not on mine, but I'm currently providing assistance icon_smile.gif.
